 The conference will include two and one-half days of workshops, seminars and interview sessions, all designed to better prepare minority students for careers in accounting and financial management disciplines.

OBJECTIVES

  • To provide an opportunity for students to network with over 400 students from across the entire Eastern Region
  • To augment students’ skills and expand their knowledge through challenging seminars.
  • To provide a forum to discuss student issues and to present positive alternative resolutions.
  • To provide opportunities for students to develop and exhibit their organizational, leadership, and planning skills.
  • To provide an opportunity for students to interview for entry-level positions and internships with top accounting firms and companies

IMPORTANT:  The students will be away for conference from Thursday October 4 – 7, 2018.  Please check your class schedule and notify your professors of your absence from class on those dates if you have not done so already. If this will affect your attendance to the conference please let us know as soon as possible

  1. Start\Renew your membership in NABA Inc. by paying your dues. You must be a Student Member to Register Join/Renew Here
  2. Confirm your seat at the 2018 Eastern Region Student Conference for the heavily discounted price of  $350 (includes bus transportation, hotel, and conference registration (there are a limited number of registrations at this price)  Pay Now  
    1. RUTGERS STUDENTS ONLY  – PAY HERE – contact your Rutgers student chapter before making payments
  3. Contact studentaffairs@nabannj.org  for unique registration code to register for the conference. (Membership confirmation must be confirmed before issuing code. Email membership status when contacting us.)
    Please do NOT share this code with anyone!
  4. Upon Receipt of code from Studentaffairs@nabannj.org  Student will then be allowed to Begin Registration. Select student registration and input the code received into the discount code box that appears.
  5. You will receive a Login ID and Password for the Online Resume System, when the system is open, with your conference registration. Once you receive your login credentials, you should upload your resume as soon as possible.Your resume will be put into a “Pending” status until it is reviewed and accepted. This will usually occur in approximately 48 hours.  RESUME SYSTEM IS OPEN until Aug 31th 
  6. September 29 – Attend the  MANDATORY PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOP. Students will have a full day interview preparation, business etiquette, resume review, etc.. RSVP Here
  7.  Anyone who misses this event will no longer be eligible for the special student package price

Key Dates (dates are subject to change)

Registration is not open

July 13 – Scholarship Deadline. All Applicant must be paid members and ERSC Registrants by September 7th. Click here to apply.

August 17 – You MUST be registered ONLINE for the conference and memberships dues MUST be paid by this date to ensure you have access to the online RESUME SYSTEM*.

September 21 –  Final Day to register for the conference. (however Resume will not be included in Resume system. See other key dates above.) The RESUME SYSTEM* will be closed at 11:59 pm EST on this date. No other changes will be accepted and all resumes will be locked as FINAL

September 29 –  MANDATORY PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOP (this pre conference workshop is mandatory for all students seeking to attend this years conference. Anyone who misses this event will no longer be eligible for the special students package price. Locatoin TBD

* Resume System is the where students are allowed to upload their resumes for pre-selection process for the conference. It is important that the resumes are up to date and recommended that they are reviewed prior to submission.
